Dan Moloney is a cable visionary and an industry pioneer who is driving the evolution of TV and a smart, simple connected home. As president of Motorola Mobility, Moloney is leading the company through one of the most exciting periods in its 84-year history – while also empowering the industry to leverage the largest convergence opportunity in technology’s history.
Moloney leads Motorola Mobility’s Home business, which comprises the company’s video network infrastructure, home devices, and converged experience portfolios, as well as Motorola Mobility’s Advanced Technology, Supply Chain, IT and Government Relations.
Prior to the separation of Motorola, Inc. in early 2011, Moloney served as executive vice president and president of Motorola’s Home and Networks Mobility business. In that role, Moloney led the expansion of the breadth and global market presence of this Motorola business, which became a worldwide leader in both video and WiMAX wireless solutions.
Moloney was recently honored for his contributions to the cable industry by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) with the 2012 Vanguard Award for Associates & Affiliates. The Vanguard Awards are the industry's most prestigious awards.
Moloney is also an honorary board member of Cable Positive and serves on the Board of Directors of Digital Latin America. He is a 29-year veteran of Motorola and has served more than 15 years in senior-level positions with the company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago.
